Kreyu makes a noise of surprise that turns into delight when they lift off the ground without him moving his wings. She laughs softly. "I didn't know you could do that!"
She's never been carried aloft on someone else's wings before, but she's not afraid. The stars are bright and vast above them, the sea as still as it ever gets. "Tempted to stay exactly where I am even when we get up to a decent height," she tells him. His closeness, the feel of him, the patterns he traces on her skin, they all feel so good.
