Skellig is already awake when she stirs beside him - he had slept well for several hours, but had awoke before the sunrise, finding himself again drawn to stare at the stars above them.
Her words had echoed in his head, the memory met with feelings of safety, security, his body curled up atop her dragon shape, warm scales beneath him as he listened to the tales and stories she wove with her voice. Legend and truth, sometimes intertwined...
...like they are now.
He is not tired, but does not move to wake her further, content to listen to her heartbeat and her breath, feeling both against his skin as she dozes beside him, the sky painting itself a splendid array of colors as he watches the horizon beyond the rocky shore.
