He can hear the echoes when he listens, and it brings him pleasure to know they have rewritten the history of this place, not erased the past entirely, but simply added their own layer upon it.
Kreyu is a sound sleeper, and he does not mind to simply lie quiet and still beneath her - he is comfortable like this, beneath her dragon 'sprawl'.
