Part of him - a slight part of him - would feel guilty for leaving his tribe. After all as much of an 'outsider' as he is, he does have friends, and he does contribute to the overall work that is needed to maintain their survival. (And perhaps he has done more than he has realized by allowing himself to wander these woods, leave offerings for her?)
Everywhere she touches, she brings goosebumps to his skin. Clearly he likes what she is doing to him, so he tries to repay her in kind!
