OOM All Skate Skellig Dream Magic Weirdness -Part Nine
Kreyu has gathered plenty of henna and even woad, a blue dye, for some experiments with designs on Skellig's skin.
"The blue would look lovely on you, I think," she remarks. "Your fairer skin would show it off quite well. Though I am far more experienced in applying henna."
She's gathered bits and pieces of designs to look at for inspiration. Celtic style knots, viking style abstract patterns and stylized beasts, the mandala and floral type designs he's admired on her, and more.

"I thought the same," he admits.

"Are you hungry?" she asks. "Thirsty?" He did get a fair amount of exercise, after all!
no subject
(Asking permission, and also wanting to commit her kiss to memory, in case he 'wakes up' once they move and this is all just a dream...)
no subject
She moves in to kiss him again. She intends for the kiss to be soft, gentle, but she could be encouraged to something stronger, deeper.
no subject
This feels good, very good.
no subject
"Could kiss you for hours," she whispers as they break to breathe.

He tips his head towards her fingers in his hair, then sighs happily - this is a beautiful moment of perfection, and one he does not wish to interrupt. But she mentioned a meal, and his body is hungry...
no subject
And they're likely a bit...sticky after their activities earlier.

She leads him over to a small side pool and moves some low branches aside to reveal a basket packed with scraps of linen and a small tin. She opens the tin and a smell that seems strangely familiar hits his nose, soap scented with cinnamon. She flushes slightly. "I don't usually go all the way into the pool, not for every day bathing, but I wanted to catch your attention."
She takes one of the pieces of fabric, wets it in the water, and then applies some of the soap to it. It will be easy enough to clean up, she thinks!
no subject
(They have never asked or allowed him to go to meetings, for his own "safety" should someone try to snatch him away for their own... at least that is what they've told him. Nevermind he can out-spar most men his age.)
He isn't sure. But it is a lovely scent.
And she wanted to catch HIS attention? That also boggles his mind, just a bit.
no subject
She can tell that her confession has boggled him a bit. "I have wanted you in many ways for quite some time, I could not resist the temptation. I had hoped that even if meeting me in the flesh frightened you into fleeing, the memory of my body might tempt you into coming back."
It doesn't take too long to clean up and dry off. "I probably SHOULD get dressed again," she muses aloud. "If only to give you the pleasure of undressing me later, should you want to," she adds, her grin slightly wicked.
no subject
Seriously?!
The flush that blazes across his skin is vibrant even in the afternoon sunlight.
"I, I... yes, want to." His voice is stammering just a little. "Yes."

She carefully dries herself off, then unfolds a green chiton. It's short, only knee length, held together at the shoulders with golden pins. She checks her reflection in the water, then she carefully takes some of the wildflowers from his offering, weaves them into her hair.
no subject
She wants YOU, Skellig. She meant that, when she said it. She has seen you as you have walked these woods.
Finding his voice is a challenge.
"You are lovely," he finally manages.
no subject
She takes his hands in her own, leads him to a location not all that far from where they lay together earlier. She retrieves two containers from their hiding places and pulls an amphora of watered wine from where it was cooling in the water.
The food is simple fare: smoked venison, tasty roots that have been roasted in fat and then cooled, in season berries, and nuts that have been dipped in honey and then allowed to dry. The cups she pours the well watered wine into are sturdy things, plain. "I am glad I brought enough for two, I must have been feeling optimistic this morning."
no subject
He settles down on the grass beside her with his wine in hand. "Especially when our tribe has been... not keeping up with our portion of the trade." His tone is slightly apologetic, as he does feel bad.

He is torn - others have disappeared into the forest, deep into these woods, never seen again. On the other hand...his tribe is the only family he has ever known, even if none of them are his true 'kind'.
His fingers tighten on the cup, ever so slightly. This is not a decision he wishes to make now. He wants to enjoy this meal and her company, the rest can wait.
no subject
Her smile is slightly dark, sharp, for a moment. "If you decide to ever see them again, I will make VERY sure they know you are not mad and that you will carry my words to them." They had best treat him PROPERLY after that, if they know what's good for them!
no subject
His smile in response is tight.
"It may take your persuasive nature to convince them, so I would be most grateful for it."
no subject
"I would be glad to," she tells him, sincere. "I, I am ashamed I did not notice how they treated you long ago," she confesses.
no subject
This forest has been his place to wander and explore, to marvel in the details of the petals on wildflowers, the crystal clear waters of the spring, the sounds of the wildlife. There is no room for negativity here.
no subject
"I have a few thoughts about what we might do once we have eaten," she offers as she finishes eating.
