"Deservedly so," he comments. "You aided in bringing new life safely into this world, today. There is very little else that can occur that contains such a surge of pure Light...it is unblemished, not yet worn down, stripped away by the harsh realities of the universe."

Content, he sighs as he focuses on one of her hand, easing the tension from her fingers. A strange feeling - unsettling, but not unpleasantly so - creeps into the back of his mind as he contemplates something.

"I...I feel as if I have been present for...many moments, when Life is yet so fragile, the balance is not yet tipped in either direction," he says softly. "I do not know if that is just emotions from the day, or something from Before...it just struck me as a feeling."
