OOM All Skate Skellig Dream Magic Weirdness -Part 10

Kreyu has taken a different shape than is usual for her. A dragon, yes, but one of quite different build and coloration!

This shape is more serpentine, although it still has four legs and wings. Her body and her wings are covered in feathers that are all the colors of the rainbow. She fusses with some of her wing feathers, the claws of this shape far smaller, as dexterous as human hands.

"How do I look?" she asks, a little nervous about her appearance.

Kreyu frowns at the last one.

"If he would do such a thing, she is better off without him," Kreyu growls

"From the things that she is saying, I do not think she is planning on letting him back into their home at all," Skellig laughs softly, the sound low and a little dark. "And he can fetch his things from the gutter."

"Good for her," Kreyu replies. "Though I am sure her heart will hurt, later." Such a betrayal would sting terribly! "I am so very glad you would never do that to me."

"Never," he swears firmly. "Not only would I be an absolute fool to lose such a soul as you as my mate, but the vengeance I would face would have me begging for death."

As he doubts her brothers would let him off with a quick and painless exit from this world!

He leans up and presses his lips to her throat. "I have all I could ever dream of right here in my arms."

He's probably right about her brothers.

"So do I," she whispers back. "More than I had ever dared to dream, right here in the flesh."

Husband downstairs is saying it was an 'accident' and 'not what it looks like'. Wife's response is unprintable.

"Based on that answer from her, his explanation is... not passing her approval."

A wry chuckle. "And our breakfast might be delayed a bit, as most of the staff is distracted by this bit of drama."

Kreyu frowns slightly. "If I don't have time to digest breakfast in this shape, I'll need to hunt on the way."

The owner has intervened and is demanding that ALL of them, yes, ALL OF THEM, have this argument SOMEWHERE ELSE.

"The Staff have been told in no uncertain terms that unless they would like to join the trio in the streets, they should finish with preparing breakfast."

He leans in and kisses her lightly.

"We will still have time for breakfast," he murmurs. "And perhaps even a little...appetizer."

More kissing.

"I would be most interested in your appetizer idea," she murmurs. She runs her fingers through his hair, kisses him gently on the lips.

"Though I will need to be careful not to get you too worked up, wouldn't want awkward questions when they bring breakfast," she teases.

"That would be wise," he admits. "As much as it pains me to be careful, I will make it up to you later while we are alone on our travels."

But making out with her a bit? That he can handle without getting too rowdy.

"They might wonder if I have been just enjoying myself, or if I am perhaps hiding a partner beneath the bed..."

"Or there is something VERY odd going on with your cat," she suggests as she kisses him.

A make out before breakfast, the perfect way to start the day!

She's careful not to touch his wings TOO much, but she can't resist teasing the feathers near his shoulder.

Skellig laughs between kisses. "It is a good thing my wings cannot be seen, otherwise having a CAT as my companion might cause even more of a stir." He shivers gently as she teases his feathers in just that gentle way that she knows drives him wild... but she is being tender with her touches, and it is not causing him to lose his self-control.

"You do not mind traveling with me in that shape, it seems," he adds. "It is an easy way to keep you close to me when you need to stay disguised."

She laughs at his comment about his wings being seen. "They'd think I'd caught the finest bird of them all," she teases.

"I do not mind," she says. She kisses his neck, preens his feathers. "I can still touch you, be close, without any awkward questions." She DOES miss her hands, of course! "And people EXPECT cats to be nosy, get into everything."

"That is all true," he agrees. "Plus you make an excellent heat source, when you curl up against my neck."

He smirks and tips his neck to give her better access. "Though to be fair when you are in this shape and sprawled on top of me, you also make a fine heat blanket."

Her preening his feathers is a nice feeling, comforting.

She laughs at his comments. "And you are a fine pillow to sprawl upon, so very warm, shaped just right for me to wrap myself around."

She nips his neck, just a little. She preens him some more, smoothing feathers into place by touch.

His breath hitches faintly in his lungs when she nips at his neck, causing him to exhale a little sharply.

"Feels nice," he mutters happily. "You always do. Make even the most interesting places we've slept plenty comfortable."

"I'm glad," she murmurs against his skin. "Especially since we may be sleeping rough a great deal on our travels, like on the island."

She teases his collarbones with her fingers as she kisses him on the lips, slow and sweet.

Skellig might hear footsteps and the sound of someone carrying a heavy food tray in the direction of their room.

A faint moan escapes his lips as she kisses him, but his ears pick up on the approaching footsteps and he pulls his mouth away from hers, VERY reluctant to do so...

"Breakfast--" he whispers to her.

There is a faint knock upon the door and it is accompanied by the question if he would like his food brought inside? Or the tray left in the hall?

"Hall will be fine, thank you," he calls out.

Once the footsteps retreat, Skellig pushes himself up onto one elbow and gives her a faint Look. "We need to eat. Something besides each other... that will happen later."

"We do," Kreyu admits, also reluctantly. She moves out of sight of the doorway, so Skellig can go and bring breakfast in.

Fresh bread, butter, eggs cooked with a mix of vegetables and spices, fresh fruit, and watered wine. A fitting breakfast for someone who is going to be doing a lot of exercise!

And with two servings of it, there is plenty between them to share to ensure they get their fill.

"If we rest for just a little while after you must shift, that will be enough time for you to fully digest all of this?"

Another nap would probably not be an awful idea given what they're going to be doing today, and it is still quite early all things considered.

"A few hours in this shape should suffice," Kreyu replies. "And a nap while I'm digesting wouldn't hurt."

She chuckles. "Makes me feel dreadfully lazy, but there are fine details of shapeshifting even I can't get around."

"You are just adapting to the form, what it needs." Skellig shrugs a shoulder as they start to dish out the meal. "It is smart, resourceful."

He picks a few pieces of fresh fruit from the tray.

"After we eat, I will go down the hall and tell Xenophon and Kirke I need to rest a bit longer before we see off. I doubt they will mind." Kirke especially, with having to work so hard at such odd hours day and night!

"Thank you, love," she says, smiling softly. "I am so very lucky to be with you, whatever shape I wear."

"I am sure they both need more rest than they have been getting, and quiet."

Kreyu eats more than she usually would to break her fast because she knows she will need the energy. flying is hard work!

"Our turn for rest and quiet may take an extra day or two, but I do not mind that either."

He glances at her over his food.

"To hear the forest come to life with the dawn, you wrapped in my arms...I look forward to that. A fire crackling softly, the way you breathe against my neck..."

"You paint a lovely vision, but I don't mind waiting a few days for it."

"Snow too, in time. I've only ever seen it on the tops of mountains."
