OOM All Skate Skellig Dream Magic Weirdness -Part 10

Kreyu has taken a different shape than is usual for her. A dragon, yes, but one of quite different build and coloration!

This shape is more serpentine, although it still has four legs and wings. Her body and her wings are covered in feathers that are all the colors of the rainbow. She fusses with some of her wing feathers, the claws of this shape far smaller, as dexterous as human hands.

"How do I look?" she asks, a little nervous about her appearance.

"You paint a lovely vision, but I don't mind waiting a few days for it."

"Snow too, in time. I've only ever seen it on the tops of mountains."

For some reason he is surprised at her admission that she has only ever seen snow on mountaintops.

"The cold can be wearing on the body, but with our bodies pressed close together, there is no storm we could not weather."

She laughs, low. "I would prefer to add blankets and some shelter to that situation, but I would gladly press close to you for warmth."

She casts her eyes upon the bed, stretches a little. "Would you like to sprawl on me this time, or shall I use you as a pillow?"

"You could sprawl upon me as a pillow again, perhaps not quite the same sprawl as before...I tend to sleep very soundly when you are doing that, and we should set off before TOO long..."

But a solid nap will not hurt.

"I think I can sprawl a little less," she replies. She scoots over on the bed so he can lay down. "Keep you from sleeping TOO soundly."

She chuckles. "I never used to look forward to sleep as much as I do now, with you."

After joining her on the bed, he settles in and allows her to use his shoulder as a pillow, bringing his hand up to idly stroke his fingers through her hair.

"I...I was much more nocturnal," he says after a long moment of thought. "Easier to move about without getting seen, when it was dark."

(Easier to find food in dumpsters that has only just been thrown out by a restaurant closing crew, don't have to dig as far down in the pile. Easier to hide and find a place to rest when the whole world is in shadow.)

"That makes sense," she replies, voice soft, leaning into his touch. There is a pang of sadness in her heart about him feeling the need to move about unseen, then. "And you would have great advantage over most at night, with your sight and your hearing."

She runs her fingers through his feathers, holds him close. "I have explored the wonders of the night less than those of the day," she muses. "Perhaps we will discover some together on our travels."

"My sight is much more keen at night," he agrees. "My eyes had to adjust a bit to adapt to the brightest hours of the day, but since those were often the hottest as well...we did good to stay indoors."

His feathers flex beneath her touch, wings shifting. "I look forward to discovering many things with you, at all hours." There's a hint of teasing in his tone, but he is going to be Good as they cannot get up to too much 'trouble' if they expect to nap.

She laughs. "All hours of the day and night," she says, a hint of teasing in her tone.

"But we will behave for now," She nuzzles his shoulder. "Not scandalize our fellow patrons by making you scream my name in ecstasy."

Skellig is quiet for a brief moment.

"...could whisper your name against your lips if you wanted to sprawl a little higher up and kiss me again."

"I like the sound of that," she replies, voice low. She knows things can't get too hot and heavy, but kissing Skellig is always a pleasure.

She sprawls a little higher, her skin rubbing against his as she stretches, shifts her position to claim his mouth with her own. Gentle at first, but she doesn't resist the urge to tug a little on his lower lip with her teeth, tease just a bit with her tongue.

It is a pleasure indeed - and her skin rubbing against his as she shifts, her teeth grazing his lip, her tongue teasing - that earns her better than a whisper of her name.

"Mmm, my Kreyu..."

That earns her a soft moan of it instead, between one of their breaks to pull in a bit of air into their lungs, settle down their bodies. He will be 'good', he knows he has to be... but he isn't going to turn down kissing her.

"Like it when you say my name like that," she says, voice slightly rough with desire.

She takes a few deep breaths to try and...settle things.

"Later," she reminds herself, speaking out loud.

Briefly, Skellig debates saying screw it and pouncing on her to kiss her senseless, touch her in all the places that drive her wild - but he knows that is just is inviting trouble.

"Later. Will be worth it."

"Always is, with you," she says softly. He's not the only one who is struggling with thoughts of pouncing.

She settles again, puts her head on his shoulder. "Your dragon queen should nap and digest a while, if she can manage it," she says, tone slightly self deprecating.

"Your owl king will oblige his dragon queen's needs," he mutters playfully, bringing his hand up to rest on her shoulder, and his wing up to cover then both slightly. "And he promises that he will make it up to her later."

A smirk crosses his features as he closes his eyes, exhaling heavily.

"Perhaps even make it up to her twice."

Kreyu chuckles. "And here I was thinking I'd be making it up to you, twice," she replies, tone playful.

"May need to find somewhere like the House of Blue Lotuses at our destination, put up a little sound proofing," she muses, fingers tracing idle patterns on his skin.

"I would like that," he admits. "Not that this inn has not been suitable, but I would be lying if I said that I have not enjoyed being able to spoil my wife a bit more."

He sighs softly.

"I do greatly like to hear myself say that," he adds. "My wife."

"Lucky for me that you do," she replies. "As I enjoy calling you my husband."

"My husband, who looks at me as though I hung the moon and the stars," her smile is warm, soft.

His shrug is lost to the fact that she's sprawled atop him, but she'll sense enough of it for the point to get across.

"For all I know, you took care of that before I made it here I to find you in the desert," he offers playfully, yawning. "I would not put it out of your abilities, with the way their light reflects within your eyes when you're staring up at me as we lie together beneath them."

Such contagious things, yawns are. She yawns shortly after he does.

She kisses his neck softly. "Coaxed out the ones in your heart, perhaps," she allows. "If my eyes shine when I am beneath you, it is the light in you that you see reflected in them."

"You flatter me," he mutters as he snuggles himself closer to her. "But I will not protest it as I know I do the same to you, and it is well deserved."

He kisses her gently, but sleep is threatening him as his own breakfast settles and his energy shifts a bit.

"I love you, my dragon."

"And I love you, my owl," she whispers back.

It won't be long before they doze off, to wake a few hours later.

Kreyu sighs. "Time to say goodbye to my hands for a while."

"Before you shift," he reaches for her hands as she speaks, to give her a reason to pause. His fingers gently intertwine with hers and he squeezes gently. "To give you a bit of a reminder, until you are able to hold mine again."

He presses his lips to her knuckles, each hand in turn.

"It will just take me a moment to finish dressing," he adds. "Then you will have your 'perch' back."

"My sweet and thoughtful love," her smile is a bit sappy as he squeezes her hands, presses his lips to her knuckles. "I did very well for myself, in scooping you up," her tone is slightly teasing at the very end.

She waits until he's dressed to take her cat shape, leap up onto his shoulder. Skellig can hear Xenophon and Kirke coming out into the hall, eager to get going.
